Heidi Hart, MBA, LCMHC

Clinical Director

“As the Clinical Director at CooperRiis, I am proud to be part of a team that values a ‘person-centered’ approach to care. This approach, which we extend to each client across our diverse programs, recognizes the individuality of every person who walks through our doors. We firmly believe that there is no ‘one size fits all ‘solution, allowing our clients to progress at their own pace with our dedicated staff providing unwavering support, always ready to ‘walk alongside’ them.”

Heidi’s career in the behavioral health industry spans various roles, including clinical director and program manager. Her experience includes social work in a skilled nursing facility in a residential area and an adult day center, as a clinician in an adult outpatient and PHP/IOP program, and in an acute behavioral unit in the emergency room of a local hospital in Connecticut; and as an intake clinician and a crisis worker in community mental health.

Heidi’s journey to her current role has been a personal one. After graduating from Russell Sage College, Troy, NY, with a degree in Economics, she worked in the finance industry, primarily commercial banking, for ten-plus years and obtained her MBA from the University of New Haven, CT. She then took an extended leave of absence from work (13 years!) to stay home and raise their three children. When her youngest went to school, she returned to school for her MSW at the University of Connecticut School of Social Work, Hartford, CT.

Heidi and her husband are recent empty nesters. They moved to North Carolina from Connecticut to begin their next chapter, renovating a 100-year-old home in Waynesville that her husband’s great-grandfather built.
