Mickey Snowdon

Mickey Snowdon, MA, LCMHCA

Integrative Therapist

There’s truly no place like CooperRiis. Working as a therapist here helps me live in alignment with my core values of community, service, and authenticity. Every day, I learn and grow through the meaningful relationships I build with residents and colleagues. It’s an honor to be part of such a compassionate, unique, and delightfully quirky community.

Mickey brings more than four years of experience in mental health, including three years in the residential department at CooperRiis. His experience has shaped a person-centered approach grounded in genuine connection, compassion, and respect.

Mickey views therapy as a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where individuals can explore challenges, gain insight, and work toward meaningful change. He strives to meet each person where they are and to help them build self-awareness, resilience, and confidence throughout their recovery journey.

Mickey earned his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Asheville. He also holds a Master of Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of North Carolina Asheville and a BA in English from Fort Lewis College.

When he’s not at work, Mickey enjoys running, swimming, and climbing in the mountains of Western North Carolina. He also loves relaxing at home with his cat, Minka, and a good movie—usually with avocado, peanut butter, and popcorn close by.
