Family Education Program
Curriculum Developed by CooperRiis
CooperRiis values our partnership with residents, alums, their families, and support systems as they continue their recovery journey. We know when the family is an active part of the team, it increases the likelihood that gains made during the recovery process are much more sustainable over time.
CooperRiis’ Family Education Program (FEP) offers monthly interactive live events with clinicians as facilitators, pre-recorded content, and educational materials. The program features topics across six modules:
- Understanding Emotional Health Conditions
- Strengthening Communication Skills
- The Recovery Journey/Common Reactions
- Family Systems Problem Solving
- Navigating Times of Crisis
Other live events include a welcome and introduction session, open support session times, an FEP summary and introduction to our Asheville Community Program and Alumni Ambassador Program, and a special family sharing time with our founders, Don Cooper and Lisbeth Riis Cooper.
If you are a resident, alumnus, or a family or support person to a resident or alum, please sign up to gain access to this program.
