Chris Taylor, BS

Residential Operations Director, Asheville

At CooperRiis, we strive to create a supportive community for everyone who walks through our doors. I feel honored to get to know each resident as an individual and support them on their unique journey. The beauty of CooperRiis is the opportunity to begin a new chapter in a place where you can feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow.

In ‘another life’, Chris worked as a service Manager for Massey Services,
a pest control company for two years, and won the service manager of the year in 2016.

A personal journey through mental health treatment in 2017 changed my life. It led me to seek a role where I could support people with compassion and understanding, offering the same hope, guidance, and encouragement that helped me during my mental health recovery.

Since then, Chris has worked in the mental health recovery field in various capacities- as a Life Skills Instructor at Foundations Asheville from 2018 to 2020, and as a Behavioral Health Technician and at The Willows at Red Oak Recovery, where he was promoted to Team Supervisor. In 2023, he transitioned into an Admissions role across all three Red Oak Recovery facilities. Chris Joined CooperRiis in 2025.

Chris graduated from Georgia College and State University in 2014 with a
BS in Outdoor Education with a minor in Psychology

Outside of work, you can find him playing disc golf; he’s an active member
of the Western North Carolina Disc Golf Association, exploring the food scene in
Asheville, hiking, and camping with his wife and their dog.
