Hale Higginbotham

Hale Higginbotham, NCCPSS, CCAR-RC, QMHP

Clinical Reccovery Coach

From personal experience, I have found that community is key to recovery, and CooperRiis at Asheville aligns with my values. I love being an advocate and cheerleader for those struggling with mental health and believe everyone needs someone in their corner.

As George Bernard Shaw wrote: “This is the true joy in life, being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one…I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it what I can.”

Hale has over a decade of work experience prior to joning CooperRiis in mental health and public health education which includes serving as a the Lead at a high-access/low-barriers shelter, Harm Reduction work for Buncombe County, NC, and serving as a Coordinator for a grant-funded respite center.

Hale is a North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist (NCCPSS), a Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery- Recovery Coach (CCAR-RC), and a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP),

In my free time, I love to relax with my husband and our fur babies, Carl Sagan and Grimalkin, listen to old records, and paint.
