“My work is central to my sense of identity and purpose. I want to do as much good as possible for the people I have the privilege of serving. I felt like CooperRiis was where I could become even better at doing so.”
Tyler worked for seven years in a highly acute, state-owned psychiatric hospital and held positions ranging from mental health associate to transportation officer and graduate intern and for three years in a Vocational Rehabilitation Program, where he helped people with disabilities gain and maintain employment. Most recently, he spent 1.5 years in crisis management as a Mobile Crisis Responder.
Tyler’s undergraduate studies were at St. Cathrine College and Spalding University; he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the latter.
He earned his Graduate Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Kentucky.

Tyler has a giant, lovable English Mastiff named BoJack and is a “Kentucky Colonel,” but he can’t fry chicken to save his life.
