Tracy was a wonderful, funny, self-described nerdy guy who loved his daughter, his work at CooperRiis, his coworkers, and the good work helping residents in their recovery process. He talked often about CooperRiis and his awe and appreciation for our mission with his coworkers.
Tracy, originally an IT professional from the hard-boiled corporate world, made a significant transition to the non-profit world by joining CooperRiis. His shift in focus was a testament to his love for our work at CooperRiis. And we’ve heard him say more than once, sometimes choking back the tears, that it was life-changing for him!
Eric Levine, CooperRiis President, says: Tracy and I bonded over old rock n rollers like Led Zeppelin, Peter Frampton, and CSNY, concerts at the Cap Center, and Merriweather Post Pavilion in the 70’s and 80’s. He hated all things Apple. He was a man of strong opinions who was not shy about sharing them. He will be missed, and I pray his memory will bless all who knew him.
Lisa Murphy: So, as we continue to remember this boisterous (he would say “loud), ponytail-wearing, classic rock, and roll-loving man, let’s also remember the tender, compassionate teddy bear of a guy who lived inside! He touched so many of our hearts; I know many of us touched his!
