After completing his undergraduate degree, Rowan spent two years as an AmeriCorps volunteer, completing service projects, organizing crisis response to natural disasters, and maintaining trails in US National Parks and Forests. He has actively participated in climate and racial justice movements and spent five years as a bookseller in a worker-owned cooperative. “I believe we can create a better world rooted in ecological sustainability and social justice through healing and wellness.”
Rowan graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Government and Politics and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Asheville, NC.
