Rachel Shepherd came to work in mental health treatment on a long and winding road. Her previous background is primarily in ordained ministry (Presbyterian), with time spent in hospital chaplaincy, creative writing, elementary education, retail, and other fields. She has worked in residential treatment with high schoolers, middle schoolers, and adults for three years.
Rachel earned a Bachelor’s Degree in French from Davidson College in Davidson, NC, a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from UNC-Wilmington, NC and a Master of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA.
