“The reward for working at CooperRiis is to see individuals move forward in their lives as they learn to accept and cope with mental health challenges,” she says, and that’s exactly the kind of hope she brings to the job every day. Her career has spanned teaching, social work, and hospital education coordination, with degrees from Ohio State, Columbia, and a Master’s in Mental Health from Johns Hopkins. But honestly, the real headline is this: Pat is a competitive swimmer who wins medals at 99 years old, and still finds time for pickleball, bocce, line dancing, and playing percussion in two community bands. She’s also a proud grandmother to six!
Her professional vita is long and impressive:
Instructor at Texas Woman’s University
Assistant Professor, University of Nebraska
Professor, Community College of Baltimore
Social Worker, Baltimore Department of Public Welfare
Coordinator of Education, Sheppard Pratt Hospital
Directed ten Summer Camp Counseling Programs
