Jake Wilensky, LCMHCS

Admissions Assessment Specialist

Throughout my time at CooperRiis, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical roles. I deeply value the commitment to individualized care and our recovery-oriented philosophy, which invites residents to actively participate in their treatment. I also appreciate the flexibility to bring my clinical skills to diverse programs and environments.

Jake has called North Carolina home since 2010, when he began working and living on the Farm as Residential Program Director. Since then, he has held roles as a therapist and Clinical Director for both the Farm Program and the Asheville Community Program, and now serves as Admissions Assessor.

Jake spent seven years in private practice in Atlanta, GA, before moving to North Carolina in 2010. Alongside his role as Assessment Coordinator, he continues his private practice, supporting adults who have experienced trauma.

Jake holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counseling and Depth-Oriented Psychotherapy from the University of West Georgia, grounding his work in a depth-oriented approach to healing.

Jake met his wife while at CooperRiis. Together, they have a four-year-old daughter who brings joy and laughter to their lives. As a family, they enjoy time at the park, прогулing through downtown Asheville, and playing outdoors with their dog.
