Desiree’s professional background encompasses a rich and diverse range of experiences in mental health and community support. Her most recent role in Community Mental Health reflects her commitment to helping individuals facing unique challenges on their path to recovery and reintegration into society. Her experience working with individuals recently released from incarceration speaks to her dedication to assisting those transitioning from the criminal justice system back into their communities, helping persons re-establishing connections, finding employment, and addressing mental health concerns.
Desiree has also worked with the veteran population and their families. She finds working with groups and individuals gratifying and continues to be inspired by their growth, authenticity, and resilience.

She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from East Tennessee State University in 2021 and Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Asheville in 2017 

She enjoys being crafty, traveling, and spending time with family and their English Bulldog in her free time.
