I love that I can bring all of my past work and educational experiences to CooperRiis to help engage our residents in their daily recovery.
Andrew has been passionate about mental health recovery for as long as he can remember. He recognizes it as a delicate process that requires thoughtful, caring people dedicated to supporting others on their journey.
As Lachlan Brown said, Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.
Andrew started his career in helping professions as a teenager by volunteering with the “Big Buddy” program. He later moved into emergency medicine, working on an ambulance and at a hospital in Baton Rouge, LA.
Both roles were primarily focused on mental health care.
Besides his work in healthcare, Andrew has been involved in agriculture since childhood, a passion that continues to be one of his main interests.
Andrew earned his AAS Degree in Emergency Medicine from South Louisiana Community College and studied Graphic Design at Southeastern Louisiana University.
