Admissions Coordinators serve as the welcoming and compassionate first point of contact for individuals seeking treatment and support for their mental health needs. This initial interaction marks the beginning of someone’s recovery journey.
Our team works closely together to gather relevant records and information, ensuring a good match between the individual and our community. We take pride in being part of the process that lays the foundation for a meaningful, productive, and successful life after their time at CooperRiis.
Amanda’s interest in mental health recovery is both personal and lifelong.
As a neurodivergent woman, I understand the challenges our residents often face, and I approach this work with empathy and respect. Mental health issues have affected my family in many ways. In 2020, I lost an uncle to suicide—a stark reminder of how hidden these struggles can be, fueling my passion for supporting individuals and their families as they navigate the recovery process. I believe that everyone deserves the chance to find peace, healing, and a sense of “normalcy” in a world that often misunderstands or overlooks mental health challenges.
Amanda also works part-time as an emergency dispatcher for Rutherford County, North Carolina.
