“It is a privilege to accompany and nurture people through their most challenging moments and to provide support in a holistic community with 24/7 care; to support the integrity of someone’s individual recovery choices while providing opportunities to connect and contribute to each person’s vitality.
Martha’s background is working with people with severe mental health challenges in Private Practice and Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) in the San Francisco Bay Area and inpatient psychiatric care at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina.
Martha earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at UNC-Chapel Hill and her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Cal State East Bay in 2016. Her training includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), EMDR consulting, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy by the Beck Institute in Pennsylvania.
Martha recently returned to North Carolina after living for many years in California and traveling. On the weekends, you may find her challenged by the NY Times Spelling Bee, shopping for vintage furniture, or being with family.
