“I am a proud CooperRiis alumna. I would not be the person I am today without the CooperRiis community and the therapeutic support I received as a resident; it changed my life. I love CooperRiis’ welcoming and inclusive community, and the support individuals receive as they navigate life and grow to become the person they dream of being. Mental Health recovery and healing do not happen in a vacuum nor without struggle, but neither does growth; it is an ongoing process. I know sustainable recovery is possible because I have experienced it myself. Working at CooperRiis is a dream come true for me, aiding in the growth of its vision and mission, impacting past, present, and future residents positively.”
As a CooperRiis Resource Development Associate, Kat is instrumental in creating an Alumni Ambassador Council of Alumni and Family Members and volunteers to strengthen the relationships between Alumni and CooperRiis. Kat looks forward to getting to know other alumni and their families, hearing their recovery stories, and learn from each other.
