Residents are given the choice to begin their journey of recovery — and the attainment of their dream — at one of two CooperRiis campuses. The Asheville, NC campus is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. The Mill Spring, NC campus is located forty five miles south of Asheville on a 94-acre working farm. Both campuses offer similar support, programming and staffing.
Our Asheville campus, affectionately referred to as “85Z,” is situated on four wooded acres at 85 Zillicoa Street near downtown and the University of North Carolina. Our bright, airy four-story building boasts views of its old growth trees, rolling lawns, and gardens.
The Asheville campus offers twenty-four private rooms, a horticulture room, an art studio, woodshop, exercise facilities and space for outdoor activities and relaxation, including vegetable and herb gardens. Most Asheville campus residents spend a good amount of the week traveling around the area to community work sites and activities.

“The Farm” campus is a 94-acre working farm located in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the heart of horse country. Thirty-six residents, both men and women, live in three separate lodges, with twelve residents per lodge in private bedrooms and bath.
The peaceful, bucolic campus also includes staff homes, an art barn and woodshop, barns, and 4-acres of organic gardens and greenhouses. Farm residents spend the majority of their week on campus, with trips into the surrounding area typically scheduled for the weekends.
