Rita Chavarria
Life Skills Staff in Housekeeping

Rita is a caregiver by nature and takes great pride in teaching housekeeping in our Life Skills Program to residents and by instilling in them a sense of accomplishment, satisfaction and cleanliness.  She brings many years of experience to the job, both at home and in other positions, and started working for us when we opened CooperRiis four years ago.

A native of Polk County, Rita and her husband live nearby with their two wonderful children.  Their daughter attends Polk Middle School, and their son is a student at Polk County High School.

Rita attended the St. Lukes’s Hospital smoking cessation program to help kick a twelve-year habit.  It is a daily struggle says Rita, and some days are much harder than others but her strong will to stop the habit prevails.  Staff and residents readily lend her support.
