Joshua (Josh) Schactman, MSW, LCSW
Residential Services Manager

Josh oversees and trains the CooperRiis Lodge Advisors and works evening hours so he is available to our residents after the workday is over. A “kid at heart” and health and fitness oriented, you may also find him playing soccer or tennis with residents.

Josh brings a myriad of skills and experience to us in counseling, substance abuse and management gained at his previous work at Skyland Trail in Atlanta, GA. Another of his passions include advocacy and improving the lives of people with disabilities.

He is married to our Farm & Garden Manager/Horticultural Therapist Lisa Schactman. They reside at CooperRiis along with their little daughter Lily who has increased Josh's vocabulary with the word “yucky”! Lisa and Josh came to us because they strongly believe in our programming and to be able to spend more family time together.

Josh earned his MSW at the University of Georgia, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from the School of Social Work and holds a BA from the University of Massachusetts
